The tour opened with a symposium. Governor Nitta of Toyama Prefecture introduced his prefecture in an English lecture, the chairman of the Inami Woodcarving Cooperative spoke and joined Hakuun for a live carving demonstration, and Voices in the Grain had its premiere.
